Metal & Wire

Works in metals are adaptable with various methods of creative fabrication techniques, utilising a variety of materials helps to create varying textures, colours and forms, by adapting and restructuring basic materials or even whole objects and components from a previous use.

Often I find a quantity of materials allows me to sketch out an idea in 3D almost like using building blocks. Also similar to clay, wax or plasticene, metals can be cut or added to, with more wire or welding parts on, which makes its use for my work so diverse and of course it's very durable.

Metals like Copper, stainless steel and galvanised wire are readily available and I enjoy bringing them into new forms. I Love to create both abstract and organic inspired works, experimenting, inventing and letting projects evolve with my ideas and influence.
